Gorges and rocky crags


Rivers and streams that run through the different limestone plateaus formed behind a landscape of gorges and canyons of great attraction and interest, not only for ornithologists, but for lovers of nature in general.

Alongside to features rock formations of these habitats the vegetation consists of small fields and moors grassy plains which are mixed with small masses of holm oak, oak woods or juniper forest on the slopes and the characteristic riverside forests near watercourses.

Some of the most representative species of birds that can be observed Griffon vulture, Egyptian vulture, Golden Eagle, Booted eagle, Peregrine falcon, Common kestrel, Red-legged partridge, Black-bellied sandgrouse, Eurasian eagle owl, Little owl, European bee-eater, Hoopoe, Greater short-toed lark, Dupont's lark, Eurasian skylark, Wood lark, Crag martin, Grey wagtail, Tawny Pipit, Dunnock, Black-eared wheatear, Rufous-tailed rock thrush, Blue rock thrush, Bonelli's warbler, Common chiffchaff, Eurasian nuthatch, Red-backed shrike, Rock sparrow, Spanish sparrow, Merlin , Alpine accentor, among others.
